The Licensing Authority reviews its licensing fees in line with the council's corporate charging policy, this is done to ensure that its costs are met by the fee income which it receives.
The Authority has carried out a cost analysis of the licences it offers with a view to ensuring the full recovery of their costs. The Authority's findings, proposed fees and costs and a comparison of how these compare in terms of Scotland can be found within the 'Key Documents' section.
The Authority has not fixed any fees at this stage as they wish to take into account the views of the trade, its statutory consultees and members of the public before doing so.
We therefore should be obliged if you would kindly provide us with your views by completing the survey below, this should not take more than 20 minutes to complete.
Please note that this survey is open from the 3rd of November 2025 to the 24th of November 2025.
The results of the survey will be collated and analysed before being considered by the Licensing Sub-Committee at their meeting on the 12th of December 2025, the fees set will thereafter come into effect on the 1st of April 2026.
