Aberdeenshire Council is seeking input from the local community to select new play equipment for eight play parks in Banff and Buchan.
Some of the well‑used play pieces are reaching the end of their lifespan, so we plan to replace them with new items that suit the same age range and provide the same - or better - play value. The funds for this project, £176,500, will come solely from the Scottish Government Play Park Renewal Fund.
The play parks being upgraded are:
High Shore, Macduff
Recreation Park, Portsoy
Midstreet, Cornhill
Pitblae Place, Fraserburgh
North Street, Aberchirder
Hardie Court, Aberchirder
Rathen Play Park
Cairndenity Place, Inverallochy
We’ve had four different suppliers send in their designs for the new equipment. Please take a look at the images below and use the short survey to tell us which supplier you like best. If you’re on a laptop or desktop, you can right‑click a photo and choose ‘Open image in new tab’ to see it more clearly. On a phone or tablet, just tap and zoom to get a closer look.
