Consultation has concluded
Aberdeenshire Council has made available £20,00 from the regeneration reserve to the Banff and Macduff towns to help develop local projects that will aim to add more footfall to the two towns as well as temporary uses for the utilisation of vacant properties within the towns.
We will be taking on this project through the participatory budgeting process which will allow members of the communities to make the decisions on where best they would like to see local money being spent.
What is participatory budgeting
It is the process by where the communities have a direct influence in the best use of local money for their area. It is a democratic process which gives local people more control and empowerment as to where and how the money in their area is spent.
