Residents’ association set up to look after community projects.

Community councils are voluntary organisations that act as a voice for their local area. They meet regularly to discuss issues affecting their area, including planning and licensing applications. All meetings are held in public and residents are encouraged to attend their local meeting.

Buchan Development Partnership is an independent, community-led initiative working with communities across Buchan.

We support new and existing community projects of all sizes by providing information and advice on funding, applications, governance and structure, project planning, feasibility studies, community consultations and capacity building.

We offer free support to not-for-profit community organisation based in the Buchan area or with links to the area.

Community Planning in Buchan is about joining up the efforts and resources of the public, business, voluntary and community organisations to better plan, resource and deliver quality services that meet the needs of local people.
