Library Open Drop in Sessions

In 2024, Aberdeenshire Council secured funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund towards the development of cultural and heritage opportunities around a new museum of Aberdeenshire.

Following a series of open drop-in sessions throughout November and early December 2025 in libraries across the Shire, the Cultural Tides engagement and outreach team are holding a second series of drop-in sessions and invite you to come along to learn more about the new Museum of Aberdeenshire project and share the heritage that you value most in your local area.

Sessions will run through normal library opening hours, with dates and locations as listed below:

Sat. 17 January – Mearns Library, Laurencekirk

Sat. 24 January – Banff Library

Sat. 07 February – Macduff Library

Wed. 18 February – Ballater Library

Sat. 28 February – Alford Library

Wed. 04 March – Turriff Library

**Sat. 07 March – Huntly Library (rescheduled from 14 Feb)**
