Turriff Medical Practice currently operates from its main premises in Turriff and previously also operated a branch practice in Cuminestown.
The Cuminestown Branch Practice was temporarily closed to support the consolidation of services onto a single site during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the mothballing of the site, several issues have arisen in relation to the condition of the Cuminestown building including a burst pipe which has caused a great deal of damage internally.
There is very limited capital funding available to address these building issues at Cuminestown and in order to ensure sustainable service delivery and to increase clinical capacity without the need to retain or reopen the Cuminestown premises, a programme of capital works has been agreed at the main Turriff Medical Practice site.
Works due to commence at Turriff Medical Practice include:
Creation of two additional consulting rooms
Upgrade of the staff room
Alterations to the treatment room and adjoining store
Alterations to the former records area to create:
Additional storage
Additional office accommodation
Following completion of these works, Turriff Medical Practice will no longer require the Cuminestown Branch Practice building and has agreed to continue to provide services solely from the main Turriff site.
