This survey has been put together to canvas your views on two topics.
Every year we have to produce a "Development Plan Scheme" that sets out the programme we are following for the production of the Local Development Plan and the engagement and participation that we will be seeking during this production process. We have to submit a Development Plan Scheme to the Scottish Government by May 2022.
Unfortunately the Scottish Government has not finalised the process that they would like us to use for the production of the next generation of "new style" local development plans. The first question seeks your views on how we should cope with the lack of information that we currently have on the next plan, but also keeps you informed of the process of adoption of the Local Development Plan 2022 (LDP 2022)
The second question relates to the methods and productions that we used to engage with you on the formulation of the Proposed Local Development Plan published in 2020 , and which constitutes the consultative draft of the LDP2022. This will help us to design processes for the development of the new local plan that recognise what has worked in the past and what has not.
The survey will take less than 10 minutes to complete and we would encourage you to share it with others whom you think would have an interest
The survey will close on 14 January 2022.
Many Thanks
Piers Blaxter, Policy Team Leader
