The annual housing land audit gives details of the location, characteristics, and status of sites which make up the housing land supply in Aberdeenshire. It is used to determine if there is sufficient land available for housing development and also to inform the planning of future infrastructure such as roads, schools and drainage.
The audit is undertaken jointly by Aberdeenshire Council and Aberdeen City Council in consultation with a wide range of stakeholders. It has a base date of 1 April 2024 and lists sites with a capacity for four or more units which are allocated for housing in the local development plan or have planning consent for housing development.
The draft audit is now available through the links on this page and we would welcome your comments it. The consultation documents comprise:
1. Introduction and Glossary. This includes an explanation of some important changes made to this year's audit and provides definitions of the terms used.
2. Draft Housing Land Audit 2024 - spreadsheet giving details of all individual sites and summary information on annual programming for areas and settlements
3. Interactive map which enables you to select areas/ settlements and view site boundaries and details.
