Aberdeenshire's Community Planning Partnership(External link)(External link) is supporting the development of Partnership Place Plans across Aberdeenshire, with the aim of enabling communities to thrive and live well locally.

The Marr Local Community Planning Group - which brings together representatives from local community groups, alongside third sector and public sector partners - is supporting the development of four Partnership Place Plans across Marr, each covering an Academy catchment area.

The Huntly & District Partnership Place Plan aims to best reflect the distinct identity, assets and priorities of the local area and be shaped by those that know the area best – the people that live, work and visit here.

The Marr Local Community Planning Group is keen to hear from as wide a range of voices as possible.

We already know that there has been wide engagement across the Huntly & District Area with Room to Thrive being developed and updated and the Just Transition work that has been carried out. We don't want to repeat the work that has been done. We want to validate and check that the needs of the community are still reflected in those plans so we will still use the data collected and aim to clarify the data before we work with services to create action on the priorities.

The main priorities that have been identified through Room to Thrive and the other work are:

1. A town centre that belongs to us,
2. With a campus for learning and play.
3. A rural place with transport that works for us,
4. Where the focus is people, environment and culture,
5. And real opportunities exist for enterprise
