Can I nominate more than once?
You can nominate more than one person or group. However there is no need to nominate the same person or group more than once. The nominations are assessed by our judges on merit, and not volume of nominations.
Can I nominate someone/a group for multiple awards?
Yes, you can submit one nomination and have it be considered as a finalist in more than one category. When completing your form, simply select all the categories for which you wish your nomination to be considered.
Will my nominee know I've nominated them?
No, we do not contact nominees directly at this stage. You may wish to tell them they've been nominated, or you may wish to keep it a surprise until you know the outcome of your nomination.
If the judges select your nominee as a finalist, we will get in touch with you, to allow you to pass on the good news to them.
Help! I made a mistake in my nomination form.
If you have already submitted a nomination and have since realised there is an error or something you forgot to add, there is no need to resubmit, rather please contact us below.
Please note that we can only correct errors or add additional content to nominations before the deadline for submissions.

How will I know if my nominee is a finalist?
If your nominee is successful in becoming a finalist, you will receive an email from us once the judging has taken place.
Details of our finalists will be posted in the news section once everyone has been informed.
How are the awards judged?
The nominations are reviewed by a panel of judges, which includes the Provost of Aberdeenshire, our Chief Executive and judges from other key partners.
Nominations are judged on merit, not by the number of nominations received.
Finalists may win in more than one category.
Judges may pick more than one winner in a category, or select a finalist to receive a special commendation.
Judges may choose to consider a nomination in additional categories if they feel it fits the criteria.

Can I watch the awards ceremony?
Details of the awards ceremony will be shared on this page, and promoted via Aberdeenshire Council closer to the event. This year we are hosting a digital ceremony again, which means everyone can join in with the celebrations.
