As part of the Aberdeenshire Council Place Strategy, we will be working with you to create place plans for each academy town, our next plan for development in Garioch is Kemnay.

The Place Plans follow the Place Principle, supported by the Scottish Government, which promotes joined‑up, place‑based working between organisations and communities to improve outcomes. It aligns with the Aberdeenshire Place Strategy, helping partners co-ordinate activity around people and place rather than individual services. By keeping community voices and lived experience at the centre of decision‑making, the Kemnay Place Plan will support more responsive, locally informed action.

The Place Plan will be built with the participation of people in Kemnay and the surrounding area and will be delivered together with our partners in the NHS, Fire Service, Police Scotland, and community groups. Aberdeenshire’s towns have their own distinct priorities and identities. These should be recognised, and local actions should reflect local needs.
