Forestry, Woodland and Trees

This topic paper provides details on the information sources we have used in our assessment of this topic, and priovides interim conclusions that should be taken forward in the Spatial strategy and site selection criteria for the forthcoming Local Development Plan 2028.

It considers, and asks for your views, on five general topics:

1. Trees and woodlands of high nature conservation value
2. Other woodlands

3. Smaller woodlands, hedgerows and individual trees

4. Ecological connectivity – nature networks

5. New woodlands

While considering these issues it would probably be appropriate to refer to the content of the topic paper.
