Annually we make changes to our charges which reflect the costs of running the services. Council services are open to all and we aim to make charging affordable so that these services and opportunities can be accessible. This survey looks at the charges for the wide range of Live Life Aberdeenshire services, including libraries, museums, sports facilities, classes, outdoor activities, and more. In 2023 our charges increased by an average of 5.5%. This increase did not reflect the true costs of delivery and provided a challenge to maintain the level of service delivery. To plan for sustainability the service has made decisions to remove sessions that were underused and non-viable. The calculation for true cost recovery would require an increase of at least 6% on all charges for the year 2024/2025.
For regular users there is a new membership offer which may be best value for you - explore at the website above.
The Council has not yet agreed on the charges for the year 2024/2025. You will help inform this process by filling in the survey below. your time and contribution are much appreciated. You can fill this out as an individual or on behalf of a community group.

Our facilities include a range of sports and leisure centres, community centres and halls. This survey will help us understand the demand for facilities and look at the suitable charging structure for the year commencing April 2024. Your views will be considered a part of a review of charges. This survey is open to individuals or community groups whether they are service users or not. Thank you for taking the time to complete.
