September 2024 Update - The Minor Injury Unit engagement report has been completed and is available to read.

August 2024 Update - The Minor Injury Units in Fraserburgh, Peterhead and Huntly changed their opening hours for appointments to 08:30 – 19:00, seven days a week from Monday 1st July 2024.

Please see details below of the engagement undertaken, including the survey that was open until 31 July 2024. The responses are being collated and looked at. We will provide an update on next steps as soon as we can.

The Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership organised 3 drop-in sessions, one in each town, to meet with communities to explore any impacts the changes may have and offer advice on what services are available overnight and how to access them.


Drop-in Sessions Held in May/June 2024

The drop-in sessions that took place were as follows:

Fraserburgh: Thursday 30th May 3-7pm, Robertson Road Resource Centre, Fraserburgh AB43 9BF

Peterhead: Wednesday 5th June 3-7pm, Rescue Hall, 25 Prince Street, Peterhead AB42 1QE

Huntly: Monday 10th June 3-7pm, Stewarts Hall, 15-17 Gordon Street, Huntly AB54 8AJ


Questionnaire

A questionnaire was available for people to provide their views on how the change in opening hours may impact them. The survey closed on 31st July 2024.
