Remembering together in Aberdeenshire

The 'Remembering Together' initiative is commissioning artists in all 32 local authority areas in Scotland, in a collective statement of society working together to create a Covid memorial for each region.

The intention is to honour the people we have lost and find the ways we want to remember them with a focus on hope and healing.

Phase one has now been completed, and generated ideas for using the Scottish Government funding.

Moving into Phase Two, we want to employ the right artists to work with our communities to help us to create the most appropriate Covid memorial for Aberdeenshire.

This survey will run from Friday 24th March, and close on Wednesday 19th April 2023.

    We want to ensure that the Scottish Government budget of £100,000 allocated to this project in Aberdeenshire provides a community memorial that is supported and shaped by our residents, with communities continuing to actively be involved in the process.
