Self-Directed Support Payment Cards

Aberdeenshire Council use Prepaid Cards (known as Payment Cards) to make Direct Payments for Self Directed Support. The contract with the card provider is due to expire in the near future. Aberdeenshire Council has collated feedback from individuals who use the payment cards or the associated online banking system or customer contact centre. 

A survey was completed in June 2023 and the results have been collated.  The results formed part of an Options Appraisal for the renewal of the payment card contract.  In addition, stakeholders have met to review comments regarding suggested improvements that could be made to  the system. Some key areas were agreed that should be explored further.  An action plan was agreed, which will form part of the procedures for the contract renewal.
