Consultation has concluded
Common Good Funds are generally made up of property (including land, buildings, investments, and movable items) that belonged to the previous burghs of Scotland. These funds are used solely for the overall benefit of the people who reside in the area covered by the applicable fund.
The responsibility for administering these funds now rests with the local authorities throughout Scotland. The current balance available from the Turriff fund is £160.
The Council is seeking to consult with the community on whether the full revenue balance of £15,842.17 should be made available to the Turriff community for local projects.
This survey, which will be open until 15th December 2022, is to obtain the views of residents within the Turriff area on this proposal. It should only take a few minutes to complete.
