Music is a great way to express yourself and be creative. It also makes you feel good and improves your wellbeing.
The Youth Music Initiative (YMI) in Scotland aims to make music a big part of children’s lives and learning. We believe every child should have the chance to enjoy music, no matter their background or experience.
Creative Scotland’s YMI Formula Fund Programme in Aberdeenshire ensures that every school pupil gets a year of free music tuition before they finish primary school. We also aim to help reduce child poverty by engaging children and young people who need it most by working with pre-school groups and young people in the community.
Children and young people have the chance to unleash their musical talent with Live Life Aberdeenshire’s Arts Team! 🎶 Whether it’s singing their hearts out, playing instruments, or diving into the world of song-writing, performing, and recording, there’s something for everyone.
By exploring the magic of music, children and young people can sharpen their skills and dive deep into the fascinating world of the music industry.
It’s not just about learning—it’s about having fun, being creative, and discovering musical potential! 🌟
