Aberdeen Rapid Transit
What is Aberdeen Rapid Transit (ART)?
Aberdeen Rapid Transit - or ART for short - is a proposed transport project intended to make travelling into and around Aberdeen faster, easier, and more reliable. Featuring dedicated bus lanes, quick boarding, and high-quality vehicles, ART would expand travel choices for residents and visitors by offering faster, more reliable and frequent public transport services. Even though the project focuses on Aberdeen, it’s also about making life easier for people in Aberdeenshire - helping them get to and around the city quicker and easier.
It’s also about supporting the future of the Aberdeen City Region - helping people access jobs, education, and leisure while contributing to a greener, more inclusive place. The project is being developed by Nestrans, Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeenshire Council, and the North East Bus Alliance as part of a wider vision to make the North East a better-connected place to live, work, and visit.
We’d love to know what you think about the aims of the ART project. You can share your thoughts by taking part in a survey on the following page: Have Your Say Today - Aberdeen Rapid Transit - Commonplace(External link)
