Town Centre Health Checks

This year town centre health checks are focussed on the following communities: Banchory, Banff, Ellon, Fraserburgh, Huntly, Inverurie, Peterhead, Stonehaven and Turriff.

Town Centre Health Checks are a means of assessing the vitality, resilience and performance of town centres over time. The results of a health check exercise are used to formulate strategies for improvements and inform policy documents and funding applications.

We need to understand the unique characteristics of our towns to ensure that they can continue to thrive and adapt to changes. We value your opinions on your local town centres and carry out surveys to gain peoples views.

This year we are undertaking our update of the Town Centre Health Check Survey but we are also linking with Public Health Scotland and the Scottish Community Safety Network to link in with work they are completing on producing a Place Standard Tool with a focus on community safety.
