ASSET TRANSFER UNDER THE COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT ACT

NOTICE OF ASSET TRANSFER REQUEST

An asset transfer request has been made to Aberdeenshire Council under Part 5 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.

The request has been made by the Insch, Leslie and District Men’s Shed and relates to the Leslie Community Centre (The Old School).

The request is for the full transfer of the Leslie Community Centre (The Old School) .

The proposed use of the asset is as a ‘shed’ to enhance the wellbeing, education, and lifestyle of men over 18 by providing a space for constructive and enjoyable activities.

Anyone may make representations about this request to Aberdeenshire Council.

Representations must be in writing and include the name and address of the person making it. A copy of the representation will be given to the organisation making the request.

Representations must be made by 5.00 pm on 20th January 2026.
