An asset transfer request has been made to Aberdeenshire Council under Part 5 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.
The request has been made by Stonehaven Tolbooth Association and relates to the Tolbooth building, the Old Pier, Stonehaven, AB39 2JU.
The request is for transfer of ownership of the building and courtyard.
The proposed use of the property is to retain the upper floor as a restaurant and the ground floor as a museum and in due course expand the museum into more of a community hub.
Anyone may make representations about this request to Aberdeenshire Council by completing the survey form below. Representations must be in writing and include the name and address of the person making it. A copy of the anonymised representation will be given to the organisation making the request. Notification and Representations - A minimum period of 20 working days is provided for public comments. Any representations received will be copied to the Community Body for their comments.
Community Body - will also have at least 20 working days in which to provide their comments. The representations and any comments will then be published online.
Decision-Making process - Representations along with other key information submitted will be considered before a written report will be presented to the relevant Area Committee for determination.
