The National BSL Plan was published on 6th November 2023 which contains priorities, and within these are 45 actions. Most of the actions are at a National level, though there may be some within Aberdeenshire that we can support. The plan can be found here: British Sign Language (BSL): national plan 2023 to 2029 - gov.scot (www.gov.scot) and contains the background alongside all the details of the priority areas.
From a local level, we are reaching out to our deaf community to capture needs within these priority areas so the purpose of this engagement is to gather your feedback to allow us to help shape the services to meet your needs.
Below are the priority areas we are exploring. Please respond to the areas which are of interest to you by Sunday 21 January 2024
