Background information

The Aberdeenshire Health & Social Care Partnership (AHSCP) is responsible for the delivery of millions of pounds worth of services annually. As you know the AHSCP delivers services as diverse as Home Care, Criminal Justice Social Work, Community Hospitals, Drugs and Alcohol Services, Care Homes, Community Nursing and many others across Aberdeenshire.

This year we will need to make somewhere in the region of £12.5 million worth of savings across all of our budgets and we would like to ensure that you have the opportunity to help steer how we make those savings and efficiencies. By filling in the short survey below you will help to guide the conversation.

None of us are immune to the increase in costs that we have experienced recently, and this is true for the AHSCP too - you can no doubt imagine how much our energy bills have increased recently across our Community Hospitals and Care Homes!

As the people delivering our services you will already be aware that the largest increase has been in the demand for our services much of which has been driven by an ageing population. We need to ensure that we are able to deliver person-centred, sustainable services long into the future and this will mean that we have to take some difficult decisions on priorities to make sure we can continue to deliver services for the most vulnerable and needy.

These questions relate to the policy priorities that will guide budget decisions for the Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership (AHSCP). The statements are to some extent stating the obvious, but we would value your view in endorsing the policy priorities or challenging them, and then any specific points you wish to make on each priority.

Please indicate the level of support for each question and let us know why you think that.
