In-house LD Day Services Review - Questionnaire

The Aberdeenshire Learning Disability Strategy ‘Be All You Can Be’ was launched in 2020 and lots of you may have been involved in telling us what you wanted the Strategy to include. The thing that people told us the most often was that they wanted to be able to do more in their community so we would like to know what you like about the service you use just now and what you would like to do more of.

You may have also seen that the Aberdeenshire Health & Social Care Partnership (AHSCP) is facing a serious financial challenge and will need to save money this year.

We have also had to increase the cost of going to one of our Day Services which means you may have to think about other ways to use your Self-Directed Support Budget.

To save that money we are looking at our Day Services and would like to know more about the service you get to see how we can do it in the future.

As you will already be aware the Aberdeenshire HSCP has to make over £17million in savings this year. Across the Partnership we will need to change how we deliver services whilst protecting the absolutely most vulnerable.

IJB agreed that the Learning Disability Strategy ‘Be All You Can Be’ should be rolled out and adopted across Aberdeenshire. In addition, the IJB also agreed that we review our Aberdeenshire Day Services, looking at building bases and staffing models. IJB also agreed to a review of our Assisted Transport Policy.

A report is due to be taken back to IJB in May with recommendations from these reviews and to help us gather information for the engagement report and the Integrated Impact Assessment(s), we are keen to hear from staff.

PLEASE NOTE : This survey is about the services themselves and how any proposed changes may impact service users. You can answer all questions or only the ones relevant to your role.
