The upper floor space for café/restaurant will have magnificent views! There will be an internal view into the central kelp display so you can watch the fish while you eat or enjoy your piece looking out to the coast and the Moray Firth.
Viewing decks outside will provide great vantage points for wildlife spotting!
The café will be operated separately from the aquarium, offering a great opportunity for a hospitality or catering provider and potentially boosting the evening economy for the region.
With work now having started at Macduff, the council is keen to begin early discussions with catering enterprises from across the north-east which might be keen to tender for the cafe/restaurant operations.
We are looking for information to help shape the cafe/restaurant catering concession at the aquarium, so if you're interested in the opportunity, please register your interest via this link to the Public Contract Scotland portal by 4th June.
If you'd like further information, please get in touch via the contacts page.
Our survey asking for feedback on the new cafe/restaurant is now closed. You can read about the results here: Food With a View feedback
