Fraserburgh Beach Masterplan
Consultation has concluded
This consultation has closed. You can read more about the outcome here.
Fraserburgh beach is one of the town's biggest assets. It offers a magnificent natural setting within close reach of the town centre and other parts of Fraserburgh. Over the last couple of years, we have seen the beach area being used more for watersports and on-land activities. However, the waterfront has the opportunity to contribute more to the local economy and the social well-being and health of the town. That is why we are keen to understand just what these opportunities are and how the wider Esplanade area could be improved to make the area better for residents and visitors, whilst protecting and enhancing the unique and special environment.
Work on the Fraserburgh Beach Vision and Masterplan has helped to understand people's aspirations and ambitions for the area and come up with some options for improvements. Community engagement started in September 2022 and a final Masterplan was published in November 2023.
The online survey is now closed. However you can still get involved by e-mailing fraserburghbeach@aberdeenshire.gov.uk for more information.
Please see the documents on the right of this page for more information on what has been done to date.
Fraserburgh Beach Masterplan
You can use this map to point out your likes and dislikes about the Beach Esplanade and the surrounding area. Please keep to comments that are relevant to this area rather than the wider town. We know that the satellite image on the map is out of date and doesn't include some things such as the running track, but hopefully you can still get your bearings!
To do this exercise, you might be asked to register your e-mail address. Please be assured that any comments you leave will be anonymous. If you just want to submit the survey then that is fine too.
Drag a pin to the position on the map that you wish to comment. You can zoom in and out on the map to help you place your pin where you want it to go. Then write your comment for your pin to be registered. You can use as many pins as you want to. You can even upload an image to emphasise your point if you like.
To add a pin, click on the + icon. The blue pins are for things that you like about the area and the red pins are for comments about things that you dislike or would want to change.
