Carers Week 8 - 14th June 2026 and Aberdeenshire Carers June Events
Carers Week 2026 takes place 8th to 14th June and the theme this year is Building Carer Friendly Communities – highlighting “the impact carer friendly communities can have in making a real and lasting difference to the lives of carers everywhere.”
Aberdeenshire Carer Support Service (VSA) and Aberdeenshire Health & Social Care Partnership (AHSCP) are hosting or attending a number of events across Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen during Carers Week. Unpaid carers are warmly invited to drop in to learn what carer support is available locally, speak to VSA and AHSCP staff about carer support and carers’ rights.

- Crimond, Crimond Hub -Tuesday 9th June 2026, 10:00am - 2:00pm
- Aberdeen Royal Infirmary - Wednesday 10th June 2026, 2:00pm - 4:00pm
- NESCOL – Aberdeen Campus (North East Scotland College) - Thursday 11th June 2026, 10:00am - 2:00pm
- Stonehaven, Townhall, Living Well in Kincardine & Mearns Appointment Day - Thursday 11th June 2026, 1:00pm - 7:30pm
- Ellon, GPH Broomiesburn Road - Friday 12th June 2026, 10:00am - 2:00pm
VSA also have a “Meet the Author and Q&A Session” with Elaine Mottram, author of “You Can’t Pour From An Empty Cup” on Tuesday 9th June 2026, 10:30am - 12:30pm. Please note booking is required to reserve a space, due to limited places.

Aberdeenshire Council / HSCP Carer Support team will have a staff information stand inside Woodhill House on Wednesday 10th June (10:00 to 14:00), for staff who support carers and staff with an unpaid caring role out with the workplace.
