Aberdeenshire Council are undertaking a Town Centre Health Check for Inverurie. Whether you live, work, study, shop or play in the town we need your views.

Town Centre Health Checks are a means of assessing the vitality, resilience and performance of town centres over time. The results of a health check exercise are used to formulate strategies for improvements and inform policy documents and funding applications.

Now, more than ever we need to understand the unique characteristics of our towns to ensure that they can thrive as we move forward out of the pandemic. To help us to do this we will be conducting two surveys, one for town centre businesses and one for visitors to the town centre, which includes residents, workers, students, shoppers or tourists.

We are also asking everyone to use the map feature to highlight areas within the town centre that you feel are a positive or a negative feature of the town centre. To access, click on the map tab below. You can also upload photographs to highlight the point. These pins will help us to build up a visual representation of the character of the town centre.

Once all of the results have been collected and analysed they will be combined with a variety of others studies such as footfall counts, vacancy counts, street audits to produce a full Town Centre Health Check report. This will be available later in the year.

All survey responses are anonymous. The information collected will only be used to produce a Town Centre Health Check for Inverurie.

The surveys will be open until Wednesday 14th July 2021 and should only take between 5-15 minutes to complete.

    Town Centre Health Checks are a means of assessing the vitality, resilience and performance of town centres over time. The results of a health check exercise are used to formulate strategies for improvements and inform policy documents and funding applications.

    The Town Centre area is defined by the Local Development Plan and can be seen in the picture to the left.

    It is more important than ever that we have a good understanding of our town centres and how we can support them and the businesses within them to thrive. As part of a new approach to the Health Checks, this is the first time that business have been surveyed directly, so please take time to complete this questionnaire to help us to understand your views, needs, ideas and aspirations both for your business and for Inverurie. 

    The deadline for completing surveys is Wednesday 14th July 2021 and it should take between 10-15mins to complete.

We have created this survey to gain feedback from people who use the town centre, so please take time to complete this questionnaire to help us to understand your views, needs, ideas and aspirations for Inverurie Town Centre.
