Consultation has concluded

With support from Community Learning and Development, three parents from Portlethen, Stonehaven and Mearns, took on lead roles in this community engagement project.

They would like to thank you very much for your support in their Kincardine and Mearns community-led youth centre survey.


With support from the young people from the Mearns Youth Forum, the Portlethen Youth Forum and the Stonehaven Elevate 21 Group, the group have created a short film of the findings. Check it Out!



  • Over a five week period, 805 community residents completed the survey, Just below half, (47%) of respondents were young people Just over half

  • 336 (41.7%) come from Portlethen and surrounding areas
  • 205 (25.5%) come from Laurencekirk and surrounding areas  
  • 189 (23.5%) come from Stonehavenand surrounding areas area
