Officers are engaging with stakeholders regarding the merger of King Edward and Fintry Schools.

A decision was made to mothball Fintry School from August 2025 due to the low roll expected for the 2025/26 session. Mothballing is the temporary closure of a school which does not, in itself, lead to statutory consultation.

    King Edward & Fintry Schools Merger Pre-engagement Survey

    Officers are proposing that due to the low rolls at both King Edward School and Fintry School, that they will be considered for a merger, retaining rural education within the area.  

    You are invited to participate in the following short survey indicating which academic year the proposed merger could take place.  The survey will close on Monday 21 April 2025.
