Consultation has concluded
Aberdeenshire Council Local Development Plan 2022
The Proposed Local Development Plan was submitted for examination on 12th March 2021. The Examination will conclude with a set of recommendations being published in a “Report of Examination” which we anticipate receiving in early 2022.
We have set up this test engagement platform to gather development management’s views on Planning Advice but also for us to explore the capabilities of this engagement tool for future LDP work. There are a few different techniques applied here (survey, forum, maps) which will help us to learn how to process and analyse all the information received. If you have the time please try using all the various techniques.
The LDP 2017 currently has 9 elements of supplementary guidance (SG), 29 pieces of planning advice and 29 Policy Interpretation Notes (PINs). These are being reviewed for the LDP 2022. The Planning (Scotland) Act 2019 repeals the use of SG and as a consequence some of the SG are to become appendices to the LDP 2022 (regeneration priority areas, coastal zone, LNCS, areas safeguarded/of search for minerals and special landscape areas). The remaining SG will change to Planning Advice. We would also like to hear your thoughts on the future of PINs.
All submissions will be anonymous unless indicated otherwise.
