This page is where we host all engagement and consultation for services and support for people with a learning disability in Aberdeenshire.

Aberdeenshire HSCP's Learning Disability strategy “Be All You Can Be” is a 5 year strategy which aims to ensure that Aberdeenshire becomes the best place for a person with a learning disability to live and work. You can find our strategy 'The Big Plan' and our delivery plan 'The Big List' under the Documents section to the right as well as the latest newsletters from our wonderful Day Services and other documents that may be of interest.

A huge part of the Strategy is making sure that the voices of those who use our service, their families and their carers are heard and incorporated in to the work that we do.

We aim to use this page to publicise the wonderful things that are happening in Aberdeenshire in the world of Learning Disabilities.

As part of the LD Strategy and one of our actions on our 'Big List' - we wanted to create an easy-read document that gave details of some transport options within Aberdeenshire. With that in mind, we have created our 'Transport Plan on a Page' which you can find in the 'Documents' section to the right hand side of this page. This document has been created with the help of our wonderful Aberdeenshire Involvement Network (Pictured) so a huge thanks go to them!

During the session, the Involvement Network expressed some concerns with Transport more generally in Aberdeenshire, so I'm pleased to say that we have arranged for someone from the Council's transport section and hopefully a representative from Scotrail and Stagecoach to attend the next session to hear these concerns.
