How would YOU spend £1.8 million on infrastucture for sport & leisure in Stonehaven?

Live Life Aberdeenshire (the part of Aberdeenshire Council that delivers sport and cultural services) has £1.8 million to spend on improving the sporting built infrastructure in Stonehaven. These funds will be allocated through a process called Participatory Budgeting, where the community is consulted on what it wants, and the community ultimately votes on its favoured project.

Participatory Budgeting has been used successfully in many communities in Scotland. To find out about other projects please see What is participatory budgeting? — PB Scotland

If you live in and around Stonehaven or wish to use the Sports and Leisure Facilities in Stonehaven, then please have your say. Over the next few months, you will be asked to

  • Share your ideas for future facilities.
  • Share your needs, aspirations and identify barriers
  • Cast your vote

To make the process work we need as many people to get involved and vote. You can start helping to increase awareness by telling your friends and family about this site and the opportunity to be heard.

There are lots of opportunities planned for you to have your say. Community consultation will occur in several forms, including face-to-face meetings, focus groups, public sessions and this engagement page, where you are invited to share your ideas and find out more.

Please register to get regular updates and, most importantly so that we can contact you with details of how to vote for your preferred option once the shortlist is agreed.

Thank you for your contribution.
