Update on ideas phase
The “Voice your Choice” ideas tool has so far generated a lot of interest and amazing ideas from our community for the improvement of sport and leisure infrastructure. It is fantastic to see the passion and participation for the projects, with a diverse range of ideas being submitted.
Please note that the ideas tool remains open, and the wider public is encouraged to give feedback on those submitted so far and to input their own.
In addition to the open ideas tool three workshop sessions have been held with local sports groups to collate their ideas. There has been really good collaboration, ideas generated and positive developments for future working.
All ideas submitted will be recorded as part of the process. The next phase of the Participatory Budgeting process will determine the options which will go forward to a community vote in October.
The reference group, which is made up of local community representatives and Aberdeenshire Council officers, will shortlist the options that will be taken forward.
We will continue to raise awareness of the process within the community – in the next few weeks look out for posters and leaflets around the town, as well as social media content on LLA channels. You can see the latest news release encouraging participation by the wider community here: bit.ly/LLApb
