Consultation has concluded
The Council’s Planning and Environment Service has recently undertaken a review of the approach to Masterplans, the advice provided to developers and agents preparing these, and the nature of the Masterplans that have been submitted previously. You may have responded to a previous questionnaire which was sent out previously relating to this and to your experience of engaging with Aberdeenshire Council on the Masterplanning process.
To date, Masterplans submitted to Aberdeenshire have varied considerably in content and detail, and the aim has been to formulate planning advice that delivers a more consistent standard of masterplan. The feedback received in response to the previous questionnaire has been a key factor in revising the guidance. A copy of the draft guidance is attached.
Before the advice is finalised and put to Council for formal adoption we would welcome the views of developers and agents on the content, and would be grateful if you could take a few minutes to answer the questions below.
