As part of the Evidence Report for the next LDP a statement is expected on the performance of previous local development plans and what issues have not been addressed by previous plans and remain “outstanding” to be resolved in a future LDP.
The LDP teams perception of this is jaded as, clearly, if we have identified a future need for LDP content we would have added it in fact our approach has been to try and remove unnecessary material and complexity from the LDP.
Some issues may have been addressed in the Local Development Plan but in a manner that is currently unsatisfactory, and can be identified as being in need of review. Coastal Zone is a good example of this type of issue.
Some matters have been introduced by the incorporation of NPF4 into the Development Plan and some of the terminology used within the policies of that document. The work that the team is currently undertaking would hope to capture these anomalies.
Are there other topics that remain unresolved and need to be addressed? Help us out and apply your experience to identify the gaps that need to be filled!
