Do you live, work or study within Peterhead or the surrounding areas of St Fergus, Boddam, or Cruden Bay?

As part of the Aberdeenshire Place Strategy, we want to ask for your views to help develop a Partnership Place Plan, which follows on from a programme of research and engagement used to develop Peterhead 2040 and a collaboratively agreed, shared vision for the long-term future of Peterhead and the surrounding area.

Our short survey focuses on the 2040 Vision and its four themes and we would like you to tell us what you think about these. The feedback you provide will be fundamental in helping us to identify the key priorities and actions for inclusion within the Peterhead Partnership Place Plan which will be published in early 2026.

Getting involved in the Peterhead Partnership Place Plan is a great way to help shape the future of your community, through your thoughts and ideas about the Peterhead 2040 Vision.

What is the Partnership Place Plan?

The ambition of Peterhead 2040 to develop a vision for a successful place has opened up an exciting opportunity to expand upon this to develop a Partnership Place Plan for Peterhead and surrounding areas of St Fergus, Boddam, and Cruden Bay.

This new Partnership Plan will provide a framework for connecting plans, strategies, projects and actions which have been, or are being, developed by different partners and groups including the Buchan Community Planning Partnership, Peterhead Energy Transition Forum, the Neighbourhood Board as well as communities.

Partnership Place Plans are designed to empower communities to shape and influence their future, to improve co-ordination between partners and services, to help target inequalities by focusing on areas with the most need, and to support long-term planning and preventative approaches.

Drawing upon the legislation and guidance for place-based approaches, there will be 17 Partnership Place Plans developed across Aberdeenshire using a co-design approach. Local Partners will actively engage and bring together people from a wide range of sectors, to draw together collective experiences to help design our Partnership Place Plans to deliver for our communities and people in need.
