This is an area-based funding programme that aims to contribute to the development of vibrant and sustainable places, through community-led regeneration of the historic environment. We are currently developing a bid to Historic Environment Scotland and National Lottery Heritage Fund to develop a heritage led regeneration scheme centred around Broad Street, Peterhead.  

The scheme will be a mix of public realm improvements, transformational re-development of key priority buildings, a small grants scheme to support maintenance and retrofit of traditional buildings (to battle climate change and aid thermal improvements). Alongside a suite of outreach and training opportunities to promote the heritage of Peterhead and provide a better understanding of traditional construction and how to protect it.
