Self-Directed Support (SDS)
This page is where we host all engagement and consultation for Self-directed Support (SDS) in Aberdeenshire.
SDS is a way of providing support that means people are given choice and control over what kind of support they get. It means that people can choose and arrange some or all of their own support instead of having it chosen and arranged by other people. SDS is the means by which social care is delivered in Scotland following implementation of the Social Care (Self-directed Support) (Scotland) Act 2013.
