Aberdeenshire Council is consulting on its 'Taxi and Private Hire Vehicle Advertising Policy'.

Currently a licence holder must seek the Council’s permission before they are able to place an advertisement on their vehicle.

The Council wish to amend their policy to instead permit advertising on vehicles that complies with the national standards set out in the Advertising Standards Authority ("ASA") Code without the Council's prior approval.

This proposed change will be backed up by a thorough complaints and enforcement procedure.
