The Gordon Schools
Families: Consultation on TGS Dress Code and School Uniform options
The Gordon Schools has a ‘dress code’, meaning that we have a range of options young people can wear as a part of their uniform here. Dress code and uniform are a School expectation. They are a social contract with families attending TGS, who have the responsibility for sourcing uniform and clothing their young people each day. We want young people’s dress to be smart and safe.
During Covid-19 times and following-on from national advice, TGS chose to allow families far greater flexibility in what young people could wear when they came to School. This included young people wearing their P.E. kit on days when they had that subject (to avoid changing room contact and transmission of disease).
During Covid-19 times and until quite recently, there have also been big issues in getting uniform from our various suppliers. This situation is now much improved. Therefore, we want to take this opportunity to consult with you on what the TGS Dress Code and Uniform options should be moving forwards so we can have a fresh start for session 2023-24 in August.
For black polo shirts and ties only (see picture below left for polo shirt)
Our Dress Code options:
black polo; black jumper; black sweatshirt; black hoodie; black blazer all shown above (School coat of arms added by supplier). Some pupils also prefer a white polo; white shirt (with/without a School tie). Trousers or skirt in black, thick material (not see-through leggings, crop tops, short shorts).
Please put in your orders as quickly as you can to ensure delivery in time for August.
