As part of the changes coming through the new Planning (Scotland) Act 2019, instead of the production of a Main Issues Report, we will now produce an Evidence Report as part of the local development planning process.
The function of the Evidence Report is to collate information from a wide range of sources on various topics, and set the foundation upon which the Local Development Plan is produced.
To produce the Evidence Report, we need to undertake consultation on the information we have collected and the conclusions we have come to in terms of the implications that information/data will have for the Plan.
The purpose of this survey is to seek your opinion on how we should undertake this consultation on the Evidence Report.

This is a very simple survey to explore the options that we should use to engage with stakeholders on the forthcoming Evidence Report. There are only three questions that we ask.
Specifically, we think there are two choices:
whether we should break the evidence into "Topics" on which we individually consult over an extended period of 10 months. This would allow participants to engage fully on individual topics that are of interest through numerous short consultation exercises, or
Alternatively, we consult on a single document (similar to the Main Issues Report) where there would be one opportunity to make your views known. This is a familiar approach to what we have done previously, but would be an extensive consultation document.
But we are also aware that there may be other options that we should consider.
In this survey we ask for your name to ensure that we are avoiding automated replies. This information will not be used within the survey itself. Please read over the Privacy Policy.
