This will include invites to add your voice to surveys and online discussions about things that matter to young people in Aberdeenshire. How being part of Aberdeenshire Youth Forums fits into Aberdeenshire's Youth Participation Structure
Youth Voice is young people feeling able to express their views, being heard and even taking action on, or influencing things that affect them or matter to them. There is a variety of ways children and young people can get involved in decision-making in Aberdeenshire and Aberdeenshire Youth Forum is a way to help connect all these different groups.
Tell me a bit more about Youth Forums, how can I get involved, what does it mean to be a member?
1. About Youth Forumsand Youth Voice:
Aberdeenshire Youth Forums are young people coming together at an Aberdeenshire level as well as at more local levels to understand common themes affecting young people, or of importance to young people, and being supported to express these and even take action to address these.
Aberdeenshire Youth Forum members: What does it mean and how do I become a member of Aberdeenshire Youth Forum
Meets in person, at least once a year, with representatives from local youth forums, voice groups, youth interest groups and MSYPs to discuss things youth voice, identify common issues and aspirations and plan for youth action.
Online gatherings to give more young people a chance to get involved, have there say and plan for action.
Receives regular news letter about youth voice activities and opportunities in Aberdeenshire; Current youth surveys, youth action stories, youth action/voice funding opportunities and invite to yearly meeting

The Youth and Communities Team support Scottish Youth Parliament Elections and then the elected members of the Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYPS) to represent young people including by attending 4 Scottish Youth Parliament sittings a year. 6 MSYPs currently cover 4 constituencies across Aberdeenshire:
