The Fraserburgh BIG Ideas Project is designed to address increasing challenges in the town centre by tackling rising vacancy rates and declining footfall. With empty unit vacancy rates growing, the project aims to stimulate new life in the town centre. Through targeted financial support, it encourages property owners to bring vacant premises back into use and supports entrepreneurs and existing businesses by providing funding to help them get up and running and start trading. The initiative seeks to increase visitor numbers, boost local spending and strengthen the overall town centre economy, while also building community capacity and encouraging long-term local investment.
