The Fraserburgh BIG Ideas Project aims to tackle rising vacancy rates and declining footfall in the town centre. Through targeted financial support, the fund will help bring vacant units back into use and support both new and existing businesses to establish or expand their operations.
The project seeks to increase visitor numbers, boost local spending, strengthen the town centre economy, and support long‑term community investment.
Public Engagement Results
A public survey was conducted between 11 March and 12 April 2026 to gather views on priorities for the town centre. The analysed results are available under the Documents tab and have informed both the grant fund criteria and supporting information for applicants.
Further details can be found in the documents and useful links on this page. If you have any questions about the fund, please contact: fraserburghbigideas@aberdeenshire.gov.uk
