The Fraserburgh Resilience Group was established in 2015 to deal with emergencies in the town. Working with Community Heart and Aberdeenshire Council since 2020, they provided care packs to families during Covid, leading to the creation of the Food Larder.
The Fraserburgh Resilience Group (SCIO) Food Larder is not a food bank but a supplementary shop offering items at affordable prices
Demand has increased significantly, initially supporting 50 households a week and averaging 80 in 2024. The current space for the larder was provided free of charge by a local businessman and is located at Harbour Road. Due to improvements by the Harbour Commissioners Masterplan, these premises are scheduled for demolition.
The Resilience Group is now a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), which enables the Group to apply for unused public buildings through the Asset Transfer process. Feedback from local residents is needed for the application, so we would appreciate your participation in this survey.
You may not be familiar with the groups activities, but we would like to hear your views. This survey consists of a maximum of 8 questions and will only take about 5 minutes to complete
