Consultation has concluded

Aberdeenshire Council and NHS Grampian Logos

You will be aware that the COVID-19 vaccination programme is well underway with vaccination centres in various locations throughout Aberdeenshire.

You may previously have registered as a volunteer with the Grampian Coronavirus Assistance Hub, this could have been to volunteer at a vaccination centre or in another capacity, and you are now being contacted to find out if you would be willing to help at your local vaccination centre.

The vaccination centres are currently open Monday-Friday 8am-8pm and some weekends, and volunteers would be asked to undertake various duties to help with their smooth running. This could include meeting and greeting people, wayfinding, supporting people following their vaccination and wiping down chairs.

You will be provided with online training which should be completed prior to your first shift. Upon arrival at the vaccination centre you will be provided with the appropriate PPE, ID badge and a vaccination volunteer t-shirt.

At your first shift there will also be the opportunity for those over 18 years old to receive the COVID-19 vaccination, if you have not already received it, although this does not preclude you from volunteering.

It is hoped that volunteers could commit to a minimum of three shifts per week for two weeks, however, whatever time you can offer is very much appreciated.

If you would like to be involved please complete the questionnaire below and a colleague will be in touch with you with further information.

Please do not share the link to this information as we have a database of potential volunteers to contact.

Many thanks for volunteering.
